This spacious and oh so comfortable beachfront home is located at the lovely Palm Beach residential community on one of the nicest beaches in St Maarten. Simpson Bay is 1.3 miles of soft, white sand with warm, clear Caribbean waters lapping gently at the shore. From the prime location of The Great Escape you can sit on the balcony, which is just above the sand, and take in a gorgeous sun set and watch the sail boats pass by.

 

This 3rd floor, fully air-conditioned penthouse is accessed by a private spiral staircase just steps from the parking area and opens into very large living and dining room with American style kitchen which opens to the living space. This entire space has sliding glass doors which open to a spacious wrap around balcony to enjoy the wonderful ocean views or the charming community pool and gardens below. The entire unit is on one level and offers 3 similar size bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, each with double sinks and shower, and king size bed making it perfect for couples to share.

Simpson Bay is a lovely 1.3 mile stretch of soft white sand and the warm, calm waters of the Caribbean Sea. It is a very popular area for tourists as Simpson Bay is home to many great restaurants, bars, shops, and the watersports excursions offered the island. Most of the larger time share resorts are located here (and in neighboring Pelican Key), along with many beautiful condo communities along the beach, so the area is typically bustling during the high season. The main inlet to Simpson Bay Lagoon is via an impressive rising bridge on Airport Road, the main thoroughfare through Simpson Bay, which allows a colorful parade of yachts access to a plethora of marinas... this can be quite an entertaining spectacle during high season. Because the new causeway across the lagoon allows for quick access to Marigot, the capitol of the French side, Simpson Bay is a convenient location from which to explore the island. Philipsburg, the capitol of the Dutch side, is only 15 minutes away (depending on traffic).

St Martin offers more than 400 restaurants, a wide variety of water sports, horseback riding, sailing, night life with gambling casinos on the Dutch side and the best duty free shopping in the Caribbean. In addition to the usual luxury hotels and beach front rental condo properties there are hundreds of affordable rental villas and island vacation accommodations to meet the needs of any Caribbean vacation traveler. Day trips to the island of St Bart or Anguilla are a frequent excursion activity.
