Leland is a small Northern Michigan village on the west sideof the beautiful Leelanau peninsula.  It is known for historic Fishtown, for its unique shops, and  for its beaches on both Lake Leelanau and Lake Michigan.  The Leland River flows from North Lake Leelanau through town and out to Lake Michigan.  The sunsets over Lake Michigan are dazzling. Leelanau County has been voted by Good Morning America as "The Most Beautiful Place in America".  Leelanau is a peninsula surrounded on three sides by Lake Michigan.  It has a rolling countryside covered with trees and lakes and orchards and vineyards.  Artists of all kinds feel at home here.  Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish, and local beef are a passion among those who live here. Restaurants offer "foodies" specail treats.  Wines from Leelanau County win gold at competitions and capture the essence of the area in their multitude of varieties.  Local spirits and beers can also be found in Leelanau.
