Maqueda Lodge Kruger National Park started ten years ago. What was supposed to be a family summer home ended up being a business that developed into a lot more than we had planned.

Maqueda means "Happy child"

Recently, Maqueda Lodge Mozambique was born as we strive continuously to refine our services, and more and more family members become involved.

Maqueda Lodge is a 4 star Luxury Boutique Lodge that offers the highest standard of service in a tranquil exclusive private venue. Nestled in the heart of the Wild Frontier, bordering the Kruger National Park, this family run lodge only accommodates eight guests in plush and beautifully decorated interior.

You can expect to have all kinds of visitors during your stay, as an abundance of wild animals roam freely. There are more than 300 species of birds and abundant wildlife in a Nature Conservation area (5000 ha) that shares a ± 17km border (the Crocodile River) with the Kruger National Park.
