We named our apartment Iduski Mendi, which is Basque for Sun Mountain, and is located in the historical center of St. Jean de Luz. We have a great view over the Pyrenees Mountains and a southern exposure which allows you to enjoy the sun all day. Built in 1896 and renovated in 2009 our flat offers both the historical charm of old times and all the modern conveniences. 

IDUSKI MENDI #7 in 56 m2  large and is located on the 3rd floor (French 2eme Etage). Unfortunately there is NO ELEVATOR and thus the apartment is not handicap accessible. We do, however, welcome children of all ages.  There is an intercom located at the street-level entry for security.

The Entry room is a modern open space furnished with a white shaker day bed couch, antique Basque table that seats 4, large Louis XIV mirrors and modern new kitchen appliances.  The floor in this room is teak sealed for moisture.  The Basque flavor of the apartment is accented with open beams and an beautiful antique Basque table. Several Louis XIV mirrors also adorn the walls.

The antique Basque table  in the dining room has chairs and benches that will seat up to 4. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional with new appliances throughout. At your disposal you will find a dishwasher, microwave, exhaust fan, professional Schulte’s gas 4 burner stove, electric oven, electric grill, rice cooker,  and coffee maker. The new counter tops are teak with white French cabinets underneath. This beautiful setup gives you the option to cook in, but we are also within walking to the great restaurants of St. Jean de Luz....  There is a day bed - single 90x200cm - couch in the entry that is optional sleeping space for the 5th person.

The Salon or Bedroom 2 is furnished with a day bed couch  which converts into two single beds 90x200cm which can be made up together for a king bed or as two singles, a vaulted ceiling and a beautiful view of La Rhune through french doors.  There is an arm chair and 3-4 stools, side tabes and a flat screen TV connected to TNT with a DVD player.  This room is either a bedroom or a salon living room.  There are original hard wood floors in this room.

The Master bedroom is spacious and well appointed. There is a Queen-sized 160cm bed with a wall-mounted flat screen TV with cable television. Antique dresser and love seat complete the room.  There are original hard wood floors, gas heat and a view over LaRhune.

The apartment is only 5 minutes away from a large white, sandy beach and the beautiful Parc Ducontenia is only 6 minutes away.

International flights arrive to Charles de Gaul in Paris then change to local flight direct to Biarritz.

: You can walk to the beach approx. 300 meters where there is a wonderful board walk, pergola, casino and large white sandy beach. You can walk to all shops and cafes in the village of St. Jean de Luz. Fantastic dining. There is a Market two times a week on Tuesday and Friday 1 block behind IDUSKI MENDI. The village of St. Jean de Luz awaits your maunderings.
