Better than the pictures!

This home was laid out great, the pool was a perfect size and it was appointed so well. Our group of 6 people found the house to be perfect. 5 stars on comfort and cleanliness!

The Perfect Paradise

Belle Fontaine is a beautiful villa and is exactly the same as the web pictures.
We loved the floor plan of the villa with the bedrooms surrounding the pool and the open bar between the kitchen and the deck.
Although the website doesn't clearly identify it, there are two bedrooms on a lower level, down about 8 steps off the pool. These are actually the largest and nicest rooms.
The gazebo was perfect for outdoor dining and lounging out of the sun. Palm trees around the pool and great landscape lighting created the perfect ambience.
Sound system was great with outdoor speakers. Huge living room and indoor dining also.
Kitchen had everything we needed. The gated community has 2 beautiful beaches within 5 min drive of the villa. The property is in a gated community with lots of security.
Marigot is about 15 mins by car and airport about 20 mins away. The concierge and housekeeping were also very helpful

Pretty Villa with most amenities you could want

I stayed at Villa Belle Fontaine for the week beginning Saturday May 3rd. I was with a group of 6 so we rented 3 bedrooms.
This is my second time renting a villa in Terres Basses, but the first time at this particular Villa.
The pictures are fairly accurate although they do make the pool area look a little larger than it is and also, they don't really help you understand that only 3 bedrooms are upstairs and 2 are downstairs with no view at all.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very nice and just as pictured. You can't really go wrong with them. The beds were very comfortable and king beds so very roomy.
The bathrooms were very spacious as well. The A/C was in the bedrooms only, but worked very well.
The kitchen was pretty and suitable for us as we did no cooking while there. I can't really comment on whether it would have everything you need to cook a lot of meals. We always felt safe with the gated community, our own security gate and there was a person staying in the caretaker cottage on the property that added to our feeling of security.
Ruth, the housekeeper was a pleasure. She always spent a few minutes talking to us and giving us advice about shopping, etc. Also a perk for this Villa was that you had access to the Washer/Dryer and so we could do our own laundry, and also something that we were not aware of, but there was 110 electric outlets throughout the villa, so we didn't need our adaptors!! Wish we had known that.
As with everything, there were a few areas that could have been a better experience. We were a little late arriving at the Villa and the property management person couldn't wait for us to arrive. She came back later, but was once again in a very big rush and so we never felt we got a thorough introduction to the Villa. One example was that we couldn't figure out how to use the TV. Not a make or break thing, just annoying.
However, our first morning we had water leaking on the kitchen floor from the sink, and when we called the after hours emergency line, she answered and had someone come over right away, so there was good follow-up to our maintenance call.
The only other small issues I have with the Villa were the bugs. We had ants in our kitchen and also in our bathroom. We also had a lot of mosquitoes and all came home with multiple bites despite our best efforts using repellant sprays and wipes. I think it could just be the location of this Villa, as it didn't seem to get a lot of breeze off the ocean and that can make it more likely for the mosquitoes to be a problem.
Also, just in general there were small things in disrepair, like a chaise lounge that was broken, leaks in the roof when it rained in the living room area. So, these are the reasons I gave it a three rating.

Fantastic Villa in a great location!

I stayed here with my extended family for a week. The place is pretty spectacular. The pool is great. The outdoor area is nice and large. The views are amazing... especially the sunsets.
My only complaint would have to be the kitchen. It was functional, but wasn't kept up to the quality of the rest of the villa. The outdoor grill was also underwhelming. It was too small for a 5 bedroom villa. These two critiques did not have an overall impact on the quality of my stay, though. I'd definitely stay here again!

Paradise on earth

Having never rented a villa before and only ever staying in hotels I was a little nervous as to how it would be. Well it was probably the best holiday we have ever had.
The villa was gorgeous with all the bedrooms separate from each other. The bathrooms were fabulous and so clean. We had Margaret who came every day to clean and to oversee if there were any problems she was fantastic.
The one day our air conditioner was not working and she had people there within the hour. No t.v. in the bedroom which was great but a flat screen in the living area.
All I can say is that we cannot wait to go back to this villa and this magnificent magical island!

The Belle Fontaine Villa is Sublime

The view from the deck of the island of Saba rising 3,000' up from the Caribbean is stunning.
The villa, staff and grounds are all 5 star.
We can recommend the Belle Fontaine without any reservation whatsoever.
We look forward to staying again, soon.

Favorite Yearly Family Vacation--St Martin

Belle Fontaine was great and is perfect for a large family or friends to get together. We spent most of our time in the Pool & Gazebo.
The house is large enough that you don't feel crowded and can go off by yourself for some quite time alone. We always felt safe since the villa is in an area that is gated and you could not get in without identification.
Thanks to Ted from St Martin Reservation Center, ODRC, this was another wonderful vacation with exceptional service.
