Na Hoku is the Upstairs part of our duplex on the bay. It is named for the stars shining above Hanalei. There is a great view of the bay from the covered lanai, living room and dining area. Na Hoku has two bedrooms with a king & flat screen in one room & 2 twins in the other. The twins can be made up into a King if your party is 2 couples. The bathroom has a tub shower combo. There is also an outside hot & cold shower for after the beach on the wash house. There is a full kitchen for preparing your fresh island favorites. The location, on a quiet cul de ac at the end of the bay front road, is pretty darn perfect. From Na Hoku's living room you are looking straight out North to the center of Hanalei Bay, framed and accented by palms and ironwood trees. From the lanai you have the perfect perch for watching the surf, kite surfers, boats and beauty while having a meal or evening cocktail. The only thing nicer than being on the lanai is perhaps floating in the water & enjoying the beach. Not all of vacation life is with out some slight toil. If you need to wash clothes, there are 2 sets of coin op washer & dryer in a cute little wash house building just steps away. You never know what you will see on the beach. Many people come here to get married, renew vows, celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, even to get baptized! Canoe races, surfers, kite surfers, fishermen, volleyball players. Even with all this activity, most people experience the beach with fewer people on it than they could have dreamed. If you want action, walk to the beach and go right. If you'd like more solitude just go left. Really, it is pretty perfect right in front too! Hanalei town with it's shops and restaurants are about 4 - 5 blocks away. A nice walk after dinner. If you stay at Na Hoku, you will enjoy the views, the sun, the rain, rainbows, the sand & surf. You will likely wish you could stay a lot longer. (Kauai TVNC# 1087) |
